Well, it's not quite Thanksgiving yet.  That won't happen till tomorrow.  But Mommy and Gigi have been baking yummy smelling things all day today!  I hear that the turkey is going to smell pretty yummy too....but that's not till tomorrow.

It's been very busy around my house lately.  My Grandma Laura (Gigi) and my Papa Jeff, along with Uncle Matt, Uncle Chris and Great-Grandma Lois are staying at my house.  They went on the Disney Cruise for the past few days and now they are back!  It's very exciting to always have someone to play with me. My Gigi is always giving me kisses, Uncle Chris plays with me and my toys and My Great Grandma Lois feeds me all my meals.  It's been lots of fun.

Tomorrow for Thanksgiving my Great Grandma Joan and Great Grandpa Einar are going to come over too for our celebration!  We're going to have lots of yummy food and there will be lots of people to....well....give me attention.

But, I'd better get to bed now so I'm well rested for all the Thanksgiving festivities tomorrow.  I've been rather cranky all day today.  But it's not my fault.  There is just so much going on that I don't want to miss anything.  Napping just doesn't fit into my schedule.

On Monday, Mommy and Daddy took me to EPCOT.  It was really cool because they had all these food stands everywhere.  Mom and Dad kept buying different things and the best part was I got to try the food too.  The first place they stopped was Belgium and had waffles with a berry compote.  Let me tell you, it was delicious!  I had bits of the waffle and a few blue berries.  Then, a few minutes later they stopped someplace else.  Once I saw the white plate I decided to let them know that I wanted to taste too.  All in all, I had quite a few new things: Crab Cakes from America (which Mommy is sure I should have had yet because of allergies, but I thought it was tasty!), apple strudel and sausage in a pretzel roll from Germany, Beer Cheese soup from Canada, Pecan Bread Pudding from America, Chocolate Creme Brule from France...and probably some more stuff that I just can't remember right now.  It was quite a delicious day.

We also went on some fun rides.  I loved going on the ride in Mexio.  Donald Duck was in it!  I know him from Mickey Mouse Club House on the Disney Channel.  We also went on Finding Nemo, which was pretty cool too because I have Nemo, Marlin and Dory bath toys!  Last we went on Space Ship Earth.  I had never been on that one before.  The best part of that ride was that I got to play with a computer screen.  I love to hit buttons and Mommy and Daddy let me pick the futuristic adventure for them :)

I really liked EPCOT.  I hope we can go again so we can try a bunch more delicious food!

Daddy says my hair is getting long and it looks like I have a mullet.  Mommy doesn't agree.  Either way, I think the next time we see Aunt Amanda I might be getting my first hair cut.  I don't think I have a mullet, but I must say, I wouldn't be bothered by getting a haircut.  I don't want to look like a girl for goodness sake!

Yesterday Daddy was off of work so we all went to Aquatica (that's Sea World's water park.)  I loved it so much.  I mean, it's kinda like the biggest bath tub in the world!  I could splash as much as I want and I even got to crawl around in the water.  Then we rode on this big floaty thing Mommy called a tube.  We went past Dolphins and a giant Fish Tank.  It was fun, but I didn't like that the life guards said I had to wear a life jacket.  That was not very comfy.  But at least I got to splash!  YES!!!!

Last week of Thursday and Friday I had a friend come over and play with me.  His name is Cooper and he's 6 months older than I am.  His Mommy started a new job and so we helped her out and babysat for Cooper for a couple of days.  It was very interesting to have another kid at my house.  I think the best part was going on a walk outside with Coop and Harry the Dog.  Cooper and I got to ride together in one stroller!  Plus he brought over some new books that I had never read before.  I really loved Brown Bear, Brown Bear.  I hope Mommy gets that book for me for my birthday.

On Sunday I got to see Cooper again and another friend named Bradey.  We dressed up and went to Sea World to go trick or treating!  I don't have teeth yet though, so I think Daddy is going to eat all my candy!!!  Mommy says next year I can have some though.  I dressed up like a chef and lots of people told me just how cute I was.  Duh!!!  While we were there all of us went to see a special Sesame Street Halloween Show.  The Count was super funny.  Telly, Elmo and Abby Cadaby were also in the show.  It was fun to clap to the songs.

But, I must say, of all the things I did this past weekend, my favorite was eating a chocolate chip cookie!  Mommy made some cookies on Sunday when everyone came over to watch football and she forgot that they were on the coffee table in the morning.  When she was in the kitchen getting my oatmeal ready I decided to investigate the plate.  There were only 2  cookies left and they just smelled so good.  So, I pulled the plate off the table and started going to town!  Mommy heard the plate fall and came into the living room to check on me.  I was surprised when she didn't yell at me.  Instead she took pictures!  All I have to say is....YUM!  But Mommy said that I better have enjoyed that because I don't get chocolate again until after I turn one.

And now I'm off to bed.  I have had a long day today.  Plus I'm a little extra sleepy because, well, I didn't take a nap.  Mommy has been super happy with me all day.  ;)

Well yesterday Mommy, Daddy and I went downtown to see the new arena the Orlando Magic are going to be playing at.  It's called the Amway Center and boy oh boy is it big.  I never went to the old arena(well, I guess I did go but I was still in Mommy's belly.)  Well, I really had a good time because everyone loved talking to me and looking at me.  A man from the newspaper even took my picture!  He said it wasn't up to him if I'd be in the paper or not but boy I sure was cute!  I had my new Orlando Magic outfit on so everyone loved me!!

Last weekend my cousins Karen and Christian were here visiting from Atlanta.  Boy oh boy are they busy people!  First when they got into town I was asleep...and good thing too or else they probably would have had us out and about hitting the town!  First thing on Saturday morning we got up and went to Universal Studios to show them The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  Christian loved it!!  And Mommy and I were glad too.  We both think it's super cool.  We had lunch at the 3 broomsticks and even got to sit next to the actual 3 broomsticks.  Christian, Karen and Mommy went on lots of rides and Karen and Mom took turns staying off with me since I'm not tall enough for anything.  After Universal I was wiped out!!  My mom took me home and I hung out with my Dad while Mommy and Karen and Christian went out to eat.

The next day was super fun because not only did I get to hang with the cousins again but I got to go see my Aunt Amanda!  Again, she had lots of friends over that all loved me....I love attention!  After her friends left we all went swimming.  And boy that was super!  I love to splash.  Aunt Amanda took us out to dinner after swimming to a place called Relish.  It is a fun burger place.  My mom let me have small pieces of her Buffalo Burger and I had an entire mini banana muffin!  YUM!

Now today we have had a football day and I've done lots of exploring around my house.  My mom let me eat part of a Clementine Orange.  It was delicious.  Now it's late afternoon and I'm getting sort of cranky so I think mom is going to put me in the swing for a little bit and maybe (if she's lucky) I'll take a little snooze.  But don't worry....I'll be up soon enough and back into everything I can find!

I have been very busy lately!  First I went to Chicago for my Aunt Katherine's wedding at the beginning of the month, then we were home for a few days and my Grandpa Dood and Grandma MaryJean and Uncle Jason came to visit me.  Phew!

So, lets start with Chicago.  It was so nice there.  Not hot and sticky like it is here in Florida.  And I got to sit outside and play in this soft green stuff that I could pull out of the ground.  Mommy called it grass.  She said we can't really play in the grass at home because it's not as soft and there are ants that live in the grass at home that bite.  So I just have to wait to visit Chicago to be able to play in the grass.  I really enjoyed pulling it out of the ground.

When we went to the wedding everyone kept smiling at me and playing with me.  It was great!  I got tons and tons of attention.  Why can't everyday be like that.  Only thing is....my Mom made me wear this crazy outfit with buttons and sleeves and a tie.  I thought it was a bit crazy but everyone kept saying out cute I was so I guess Mom does know what she's doing.

I had a wonderful time visiting my Gigi, Papa Jeff, Uncle Matt and Uncle Chris.  I can't wait to go back up for another visit soon!

So when we got home Mommy and I got the house all ready for my other Grandma and Grandpa to come and visit.  Once they got here I had lots of attention again!  Daddy called them my fan club!  Ha ha....I know....I'm just that cute!

We did a lot of stuff while they were here.  One night we met my Daddy's Uncle Tim and his wife Charlie for supper at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Mommy let me have some of their food....watermelon and cantaloupe.  It was very tasty.  I also got to try some African food....Fufu and Pap and some Sweet corn and basil pudding.  It was very delicious.  And then, the part I liked the best.....this guy that worked there started dancing around the place banging on a drum!  How did he know I love banging on things....especially drums!!!  It was fascinating!  I just wish he would have kept playing.

We also went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  I got to meet Donald Duck and Daisy Duck.  They were all dressed up in a costume, just like I was.  Donald was a pumpkin ad Daisy was a princess.  I was dressed up like a Top Chef!  And Mommy and Daddy let me carry around a bit wooden spoon and spatula all night.  It made for some great chewing.  I also got to watch the parade which was amazing and right before I fell asleep I saw some big colors exploding in the sky.  Mommy and Daddy called them fireworks.  I really liked those a lot.  I had a great time at Disney World....even though Small World was closed and I couldn't go on it.

Now everyone is gone and my cousin Karen and cousin Christian are coming this weekend to hang out with us.  This should be super fun!  I can't wait to see what we're going to do next.

Mommy and I went to Publix today.  Daddy isn't feeling very well so we went to get him Jello and Soup.  Apparently he thinks he needs to eat hospital food or something.

Anyway, when we got there it was windy and there was a big dark could up above.  Mommy said to me, "I think this is gonna blow over.....I can see it's just a cloud.  We'll leave the umbrella in the car."

Here is a bit of advice for everyone out there....TAKE THE UMBRELLA IN THE DARN STORE!  When we got out of the store it was grey all across the sky (no more clouds, just a sheet of grey) and it was pouring!  POURING!  So, we walked down to the sushi restaurant and Mommy got some sushi to take home.  She was hoping that in the time it took to get and make the sushi the rain would clear up a bit.  But no....it didn't.  So, we ran out to the car in the rain.  I started laughing at the rain drops hitting us.  It was really the frist time I was ever out in the rain.  I couldn't stop giggling!  Then....out of nowhere a Publix guy in a raincoat appeared with a golf umbrella and was standing over us!  Publix might be a little more expensive than Albertson's was, but they sure are super nice there!  Everyone remembers us when we go shopping and they even escort you out to the car in the rain!

I didn't take an afternoon nap today and boy, when we got home from Publix, I was nothing but cranky the rest of the night.  All I did was whine and make grumpy faces.  All through supper I was cranky, playing with Mommy and Harry on the floor I was cranky, even the whole time I was typing this blog I was cranky. The only time I was in a good mood was in the bath tub and the second Mom took me out and wrapped my towel around me I turned cranky.  Now Mommy says it's time for bed.  Oh well....I think I'll just go be cranky until I get my bottle.

Mommy and I went to the doctors today.  Not for me....for Mommy.  And I was a good boy.  Mommy told me when we got in the car, "Nicholas, you were such a good boy!  If you were allowed to have suckers, I'd give you one!"  I don't know what a sucker is but I think that it might be something good!

All of the nurses and the other ladies in the waiting room loved me.  They were talking to me and smiling at me....It was great!  :)  Even Dr. Merritt was playing with me and making silly noises.  I wish every doctor visit was like that.  I mean, I didn't have to get a shot or anything!

I have found a new toy that I love to play with, my xylophone.  I just figured out the other day how to use the stick to make music.  It is so much fun and I'm so proud of myself for playing songs.  Plus all the keys are different colors and that is just cool.

Now I'm off to play with something else.  I'm done with blogging for now.

Well, Mommy is convinced I'm going to get teeth soon.  2 nights ago I was up a few times during the night and I cannot stop chewing on everything!!!  Even my Mommy and Daddy's fingers.  I'm also a bit moody these days.  But you would be too if you were cutting teeth!

I have also started getting big boy food.  Can you believe it?  I have been practicing eating with my fingers for a while now.  Mommy buys these puffs that are different flavors.  I like the cheddar and cinnamon sugar the best!  I also have freeze dried yogurt melts....I like those too, but not as much as the puffs.  For supper time I have food that is chunky.  Yesterday night I had beef with mixed veggies...there were bits of spinach and carrots for me to munch on in the baby food.  At first, I didn't like having chunks in my food.but I'm getting used to it.  And even though I don't have teeth yet, I can use my gums to chew.

Yesterday was also very exciting because I got to try a new fruit....honeydew!  Yummy!!  Mommy mashed the honeydew up and made it into a Popsicle for me.  The cold fruit feels really good on my gums.  I sure hope these teeth come soon.   I don't enjoy being cranky and having my mouth hurt all the time.

Now it's time for a bottle and nap.  Well, Mommy and Daddy hope I'll take a nap.  I think I'll try to stay awake though.  Shhhhh.....don't tell them!!

Well, I am a busy boy!  This weekend we had a visitor staying at our house....Tracy!  We went out to lunch at the Ale House on her first day here.  I really enjoy going out to eat because I get to sit in a high chair now...just like a big boy!  I even get to eat finger food.  And if mommy has soft veggies or bread, she gives me some pieces to munch on.  Yummy!

We also went to the Beach Club to have dinner at Cape May's one night.  It's Tracy's favorite place.  I don't remember too much about that though because I fell asleep.  For the most part we just hung out at home and she played with me.  I mean.....of course she played with me...who wouldn't?

Yesterday after we dropped Tracy off at the airport, Mommy, Daddy, Thad and Sarah took me to EPCOT.  We went on lots of rides.  I really liked the Journey into Imagination ride.  There were so many colors to look at!  While we were in France Mom had a croissant and I got to try a piece.  I don't think I liked it too much though.  We also went on the ride in Mexico.  I thought that was pretty cool because it had Donald Duck in it!  And I know who Donald Duck is because he is on Mickey Mouse Club House.  I love Mickey Mouse Club House.  In fact I watch it pretty much every morning before breakfast.

Now that our company is gone we have some tidying up to do and some errands to run.  Toodles!

WARNING: PARENTAL ADVISORY!

What follows in this post is of a ....graphic....nature.  Nicholas is one gross boy!  So....if you're about to eat lunch, I hope you don't lose your appetite. Sorry.

A post from Mommy.

My son has introduced us to the finer side of parenting today.  Let's start the story at the beginning of nap time.

Chris and I are rearranging some items and doing a bit of summer cleaning in the house this morning.  Nicholas, of course, feels like he needs to help out.  His helping is a bit more like getting in the way so I thanked him for his help, put him in his swing, gave him a bottle and let him drift off to sleep.  Shortly after dozing off, I picked him up and placed him in his crib....like I always do.  No more than 3 minutes after going into the crib, he woke up.  No crying, just playing, so Chris and I left him alone.  He was making cute talking noises to his mobile and playing with the buttons.  he has a couple toys that hang off the sides of the crib as well, so I know he's well entertained.

After about 10 minutes of playing he started to fuss.  Not really crying, just making his "I don't want to be in the crib anymore" noises.  I was hoping he'd find the passy and fall back asleep.  I gave him about 10 more minutes of fussy time before going into the room to retrieve him.

As I opened the door and approached the crib a foul odor hit me.  I thought out loud to Nicholas, "Oh, you have a dirty diaper.  No wonder......"  I stopped mid sentence after witnessing the scene in front of me.  Nicholas standing up in the crib, whining, and a huge brown spot sprayed across the sheets from the middle of the crib all the way to under the mobile.  "UH-OH!"  As I picked him up his diaper was hanging off of him.  The front clasps were still buckled around him however the front of the diaper was no longer attached.  He was covered in poop from the waist down to his toes.  I held him out at arms length and yelled for Chris to come and help me.

Immediately I placed Nicholas into the sink while Chris started stripping the bed.  After a good wash down I SECURELY  placed a new diaper on him and placed him back into his swing.  The sheets have been sprayed down with the hose in the driveway and are now on their second rinse cycle.  Meanwhile, his entire crib and mattress have been sprayed down with Fantastic! Anti-bacterial spray.

I only hope we don't have to go through that again!  I think Chris and I have learned our lesson....ALWAYS make sure he's dressed in more than just a diaper.  A onesie will have to be worn at all times!

I hope you didn't lose your lunch.

Well, I guess I really am a boogerhead.  At least, that's what my Mom keeps on saying.  Apparently, when you are about my age you should take naps.  To heck with naps....who needs 'em?  Not me!  That's for sure.  Although, I am a bit more cranky than usual today.....but taking a silly ole nap can't have anything to do with that now can it???!!!

Yesterday my mom let me have some fresh pureed blueberries....boy was I a mess!  But they sure were tasty!  She froze them into Popsicles along with some peaches and bananas.  How did she know I like peaches and banana's too?!?  She said if I am good while we're at Target I can have a couple when we get home.  I don't know why she said that though....I'm always a good boy!  :) (except when she's trying to make me nap.)

Yesterday we also gave Harry a bath.  Something tells me he doesn't enjoy taking a bath as much as I do.  Silly dog....bath's are fun!  But I did notice a few differences between our baths that might be the cause for his....uh...attitude about them.
1. no toys....what the heck!  How can you have a fun bath without toys???
2. no tub.....how can you have a fun bath when there is no tub?  how are you supposed to splash?
and 3. She used the hose.  Now....I can understand that one.  I don't want to take a bath with the hose either....although it did look kinda fun to play with.

Poor Harry.  But now he's smelling clean and his hair is all fluffy and soft.  Just like me before I go to bed at night.

Alright...Mom and I are off to Target and then hopefully I'll get to have some more blueberries!  YUM!

**Note from Mom***  Nicholas made the subject today.  I guess he likes commas.

Boy oh boy has it been a busy busy month!  My mommy and daddy are sure making this an exciting first summer for me.  First I took a road trip up to Atlanta....then we headed over to South Carolina.....then back home where my Grandma (Gigi) Laura, Grandpa (Papa) Jeff, Uncle Chris and Uncle Matt came and stayed with us for a few days.

We did a ton of stuff while they were here.  We even went to Sea World and Gatorland.  And then the day after they left we went to Houston to visit my other Grandparents, Grandma MaryJean and Grandpa Dood.  Finally we got back home about a week ago....and slowly Mommy, Daddy and I have gotten back into our old routine. PHEW!

I had a very good time in Houston.  Daddy went with Grandpa Dood and Uncle Jason to the Cardinals Baseball game 2 times....so Me, Mom and Grandma MaryJean did some lounging at the house, went to seafood restaurants and even took a drive down to Galveston.  One day Uncle Jason got a special pass for us and we went to the Houston Zoo.  There was even a baby elephant there....just about the same age as me!  :)

But now we're back home and finally getting a little rest.  Today my Daddy was off work so we had a family day at Aquatica.  I've never been there before and it was fun!  First we went in the lazy river.  We got a double tube.  Daddy sat on one side....Mommy on the other, and I kinda bounced between the middle and Mommy's lap.  It's a very cool lazy river because you float right by the dolphin tank and then past a super cool aquarium.

After the lazy river we headed over to the kiddie section.  Now that's more my style!  I loved it.  There were so many little fountains and things for me to climb on.  And the best part is....it's just deep enough in some spots for me to sit down and splash.  And boy did I splash!!!  I can't wait till I'm big enough to go down some of the super cool waterslides the other kids were playing on.  I just have to get a little bigger first.

Once we had enough splashing we stopped and had a snack.  My Dad got a funnel fries (kinda like a funnel cake...but it looks like french fries) sundae.  The ice cream was soft serve vanilla....Mom said it was ok to give me a little taste and boy oh boy did I like that.  What delicious stuff.  I can't believe they've been holding out on me!  But I only  had a small small taste, but it was good.  Mom said I can have more on my birthday.

Then we went to splash a bit more.  Before I knew it....it was time to pack up and go home.  Which turned out to be a good idea because before we even pulled out of the parking space....I was asleep.  I think I'll be turning in early tonight because I sure am wiped from our busy day.

Hopefully I'll have more time to blog now that we'll be home and not traveling so much.  But for now I'm off to bed.  I need to get more energy so I can crawl around the house and make Mommy crazy tomorrow.  Silly lady.  I'm just curious and want to explore.  She can't stop me!!!!!!! LOL.  Good night.

Wow am I a busy guy!  Last weekend my mom and I drove up to Atlanta for a surprise birthday party for my Great Great Aunt Judy Lynn. My Dad was working so he couldn't come with us. It was a long drive but we had fun!  We stayed with my Cousins Katie and Dave and their 2 dogs, Buddy and Dusty.  Dusty was a little afraid of me though.  Silly dog!  Katie's house was pretty cool because she had a pool in her backyard and it was just perfect for splashing!!  HA HA!  We'll post pictures later once Mom uploads them to the computer.

I also got to see Gigi and Papa Jeff and Uncle Chris and Uncle Matt.  They came down to Atlanta for the party too. But they didn't stay with us....they were at Cousin Christine's house instead.  But that is where the party was and we went swimming there too.  We had a great time and we're pretty sure Aunt Judy-Lynn had no idea about the party!!

After Atlanta we were going to go home....but Gigi Laura was super lucky and got 2 nights for us to stay over at Disney's Hilton Head in South Carolina.  So instead of driving to Orlando, we drove to Hilton Head.  We were all very excited because none of us had ever been there before.  It was BEAUTIFUL!!  There were lots of trees and lovely marshes.  The pool was fun and we did go over to the beach.  My mom thought it was a great beach.  She said there were not too many shells and the water was very clean....but I don't like the beach too much.  There was all this sad and it was super hot and I was hungry.  I just don't like it.  I've only been to the beach 2 times, but both times I let everyone there know that I was not happy about it.  I guess we'll have to wait till I'm older....maybe I'll like it then.

While we were at Hilton Head we also went to some yummy restaurants (not that I can eat anything, but everyone else seemed to like them)  One of them was called the Salty Dog...mommy liked that place best.  The other was in Savannah...it was Paula Deen's place called Lady and Son's.  And after that we went on a Historic Carriage Ride through the city.  It was very very cool!  Except...I was sleeping, but my mom says it was cool and lots of fun and I believe her.

On Tuesday we had to check out of Hilton Head and we made our way back home.  On the way down we took Papa Jeff to Chick fil a....he's never been there before.  And then they left us to go visit Aunt Amanda for a few days.  They'll be coming back to our house tomorrow for a visit before they go to the beach again.  But there 's no way I'm going to the silly Beach!  I like the pool much better.

Yesterday was a big day for me.  We were finally home from our mini vacation and I had some good quality floor tummy time....and I figured out how to crawl!!  Now I can get all around this house!  Finally.  All this cool stuff that I've seen laying around that I just can't get to.  Seems like Mom and Dad don't really want me to get to it all though.  Oh well.....I'll keep trying to check it all out anyway.  Now I should be off to take a short nap....but I think I'll crank about it instead.  Maybe I'll get to swing a bit if I throw a big enough fit.  Pictures to come later!!

Ha ha ha.....I turned the numb lock on and mommy has been typing numbers trying to figure out what I did to her laptop!!!  Dang it all though....she figured it out!

Yesterday Mommy Daddy and I got up and movin' pretty early.  We made it to Universal Studios just as it was opening up and STILL The Wizarding World of Harry Potter had a line....just to get into the land!  So....we waited.  Correction, they waited.  I slept (pictured below)

When we finally got into the park my Mom and Dad were amazed.  Universal did a great job.  Unfortunately we were not able to see everything....it was just too crowded.  There were even lines to get into the different gift shops....how insane is that!?!?

Mommy and Daddy did get to try Butterbeer and Pumpkin Juice.  Mom says it tastes just like Christmas....yum!  We also toured the Hogwarts Castle on the way to the ride....and it was so cool!!  We wanted to eat at the Three Broomsticks but there was a long line to get in....so we skipped it and ate at Mythos, the only sit-down dining establishment at Islands of Adventure.....I had baby food but my Mom and Dad both loved whatever it was they ordered.

After lunch we wandered back into The Wizarding World....I took a nap while my mom and dad took one last look around and then we got out of there.  It was so crowded it was hard to just linger and enjoy the atmosphere that Universal had created.  Luckily I don't need a ticket to get in and my mom has an annual pass so we can go back in the fall when school is back in session.

Tomorrow my mom and I are headed to Atlanta to meet up with Gigi and Papa Jeff.  I think I might sleep for a lot of the time in the car.....I hope my mom is ok with that.

And now it's time for bed.....so we're well rested for our drive tomorrow.

OK!  Sorry we have not had time to post every day.  It seems that when there is time to post....I'm napping :) or already in bed for the night.

Mommy bought me a new book the other day.  It's a sign language book. We are very excited to start reading it and learning some signs.  We're even thinking about starting a mommy and me sign language class.  But we have to look into that (and the cost) a little more before we sign up!

Yesterday we went swimming.  I really enjoy swimming...actually I really enjoy splashing!  My Dad's Aunt Lisa and his cousin Bria are down here from St. Louis for a few days.  Bria is in a volleyball tournament and we were swimming at their hotel.  After that we went to Disney's Wide World of Sports to watch the tournament.  And here's where Mommy gets upset.....
....You see, you have to pay to get into the complex.  Like close to $15 dollars a person.  Mom says that's a rip off to begin with.  Because you're only there to see a certain event....not all the different tournaments that are there.  Ridiculous!

Well, we walk in and they can clearly see that I am asleep in my stroller.  The way the sports complex is set up, there are huge fields in the back for sports like soccer and baseball.  Then, towards the front you'll find two large gym buildings....for sports like basketball and volleyball.  And at the very front is the baseball stadium that the Brave's have spring training in.  Bria's tournament was the only thing going on in the morning.  The evening had a little league event coming....but keep in mind we went in the morning.

Now, this is a high school volleyball tournament.  It's not a "pack 'em in" event.  It's is all family there supporting the kids.  And mainly just one parent....because that is all that came or the rest of the family is out enjoying what Central Florida has to offer.

So, we pay for the tickets and walk in and around to the center that Bria's team is in.  We walk into the building and the little Cast Member tells us no strollers allowed.

DO WHAT!?!?!  Mommy told them I was asleep in the stroller and we've already missed the beginning of the tournament.  Now, there is a huge huge concourse up above all the gyms so you can look down at them and along the sides is the bleachers.  There are people in RENTED wheelchairs sitting along the top and we were the only people in the entire complex....not the building but the complex....with a stroller.  There was maybe at most (not including the players) 150 - 200 people in the building that could easily hold 500 - 700 people.

So Mom told them to get the manager because I had just fallen asleep and we already missed the beginning of the game.   He walked away and after waiting a minute or two we decide to just walk in.  Up ahead is another CM who started to tell us we can't bring the stroller in and my mom says "I know you don't want the stroller in here....I'm not bringing it outside because he's asleep and if you would like to send your manager over to us....we'll be watching the match over there."  And we just kept walking.

1 hour....A WHOLE HOUR....later when I was awake a manager came over and talked to my mom.  She asked for a reasonable explanation as to why I can't have my stroller in there.  She understands policy and explained that she worked at Disney before and knows all about not bringing strollers into places like the tiki room and other shows.  But this is a huge facility and again, if it were crowded and jam packed full of people I could see asking people to leave strollers outside.  But when your building is only a quarter full and we're defiantly not posing a hazard in any way, there is no reason to ask me to put my stroller outside.

The 12 year old managers response: It's just what the Reedy Creek Fire Dept. has said.  It's the rule.

He has no clue why we can't have a stroller in there.  How about this....use discretion.  f you know it's an event that will be full of people with no room to walk....put out the no stroller sign.  But I'm sure most of the events that take place there are not packed.  And I'm sure there are never more than a fews strollers in that place at a time.

Oh...and tell us that strollers are not allowed in the facilities before we purchase an outrageously overpriced ticket.

So....that was our day yesterday.....Sorry mom kinda took control of the entry up there!

Daddy is at work today and we have to run to Target after my morning nap.  Tomorrow I think we're going to get up early (which I like to do anyway.  This morning I was up at 6:15) and go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  I'm sure we'll have pictures to post.

And now....nap time!

We have been busy people!  On last Tuesday evening we went to the Magic Kingdom and I saw my first parade.  I fell asleep right before it started and took a quick little power nap.  When the parade started I just couldn't take my eyes off all the colors!

After the parade we watched the fireworks show.  I was very sleepy but they were kinda loud and I really like watching all the colors.  So, my Daddy took me out of the stroller and let me watch them.  We had a lot of fun and Mom and Dad tell me I was a very good boy!

Then....on Wed. morning we got up and went to Universal Studios.  My Mom and Dad really like the Harry Potter stories ( I don't know much about them yet) and there is a new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.  We went to see it, but they had it closed for all the movie stars to come and see it before it officially opened.  So we're going to have to go back again another day.  But we did get to go to Dr. Seuss Land while we were there and I thought it was pretty cool.  I even got to meet The Cat in the Hat!!!  I know that guy because he's on my walls in my room :)

Mommy also started painting the bathroom and getting the house ready for when Gigi and Papa Jeff come to visit!  She keeps telling me "We have to clean this place up!!"  So.....we are!  Well, she is.  I'm just playing on the floor most of the time.  Or in my pack-n-play.  And today she made the mattress lower because I'm a super curious kid and...well....just check out the picture below!

Now it's time to go paint some more.  So we're off!

Mommy and I have been very busy lately.  Well, and Daddy too I guess.  Even though it's super hot outside they decided to do work around the yard the other day.  They dug up the yard and planted a ton of flowers.  It took a really long time!  I got to just chill in my stroller the whole time though.  And Mom gave me a sippy cup filled with water to play with and keep me cool.  I enjoy sitting outside.....until I get too hot and sticky.  Then I'm super crabby.

Then, the next day they cleaned up and organized the garage.  This time I didn't have to sit outside too much.  Because they were in the garage Mom brought my exersaucer into the kitchen and I got to play in there while they were cleaning up.

And yesterday we went to my Aunt Amanda's house.  We went swimming for a little while but it started to thunder and lightning so we had to get out.  I also got extremely cranky and didn't want to take a nap.  But once I did, I sure felt better!

Today we are going out to lunch with two of Mommy's friends that she used to work with when she was a teacher, Miss Erin and Miss Kristin.  Then we have to tidy up this house!  Aunt Amanda's client at work had lots of extra paint and gave us some so we can paint the bathrooms and bedroom.  So this afternoon it's cleaning time and then tomorrow we start painting!!  It's a good thing I don't crawl yet or else I'd pull and Aunt Katherine and knock a paint can over and crawl right through it across the living room floor!

Now it's time for breakfast!!

Tale of Two Days....

(A note from Mom: Sorry we started this entry yesterday....but someone wanted dinner before we had a chance to finish it....then before we knew it Nicholas had to go to bed and the Blackhawk Game started. Needless to say.....we got distracted. So.....here is our entry....part from yesterday and part from this morning.)

Translation: We are having a very nice evening outside. We were going to go to Universal and see if we could get into the new Harry Potter Land, but there was no knowing if we would for sure be allowed in so....we skipped it. It's too darn hot for walking around a theme park anyway!

So, Mom, me and Harry the Dog are sitting outside and she is blowing bubbles. I don't really understand what they are or how she's doing it....but I like to watch them float. And Harry is a silly dog....he snaps at them.

We didn't go to Disney on Wed night either. It got to be too late and I went to bed early. I was just feeling a little grumpy and a parade wasn't something I think I was up for.

Mommy and I just got back from the doctors. My 6 month check up! I'm 6 months old today!!! Everything was just fine. I am now 15lbs. 10oz. What can I say....I like to eat! :)

I really enjoy the doctor's office because they have some really cool toys in the rooms and awesome paintings of fish and sharks on the walls.....but then the lady who gives the shots comes in. I don't really like that too much! I had to get 3 shots today and drink some nasty medicine. Everyone swears it's good for me....but I think they're full of nonsense!

I am doing better now. I've had some time to play around the house and I had breakfast. Hopefully the rest of our day is a bit better than the morning. I think we get to go to the puppy store and get Harry some more cookies. He's all out! So that should be fun. And maybe....just maybe if I'm not too cranky we might go see Daddy. But it is supposed to be super hot outside today so Mom says it's a BIG maybe.

This is a picture from yesterday while I was sitting outside in my stroller. I love sitting outside!

Good Morning!

I've had a busy couple of days.  On Sunday we went to a pool party!  It was so much fun.  I really love splashing around in the water and spent a lot of time in the pool.  Oh, and the Blackhawks won so that was super good too!   Mom and Dad took lots of pictures at the pool party, but they have not uploaded them to the computer yet.  I know....slackers!

Yesterday Mommy did lots of laundry and finally unpacked the suitcases from Chicago.  So I got to play on the floor for a long time and listen to Disney music while she straightened up.  Then we went to Publix to go grocery shopping.  Usually I just sit in my carrier and we walk around and get what we need.  But this time, she took me out of my carrier and I got to sit up in the front of the cart like a big kid!  At first I was a little freaked out (see picture below)  but then I realized......this was pretty cool!  I could see everything, all the people, all the colors and I got to play with the jar of Mayonnaise.

Tonight we are probably going to the Magic Kingdom because The Electric Light Parade is back.  I have never seen any parade, so I don't  know what all the whoo-ha is about, but my Mom and Dad think I will enjoy it.  Hopefully I can stay up that late.  We'll see!!!!  Either way, I get to go on Small World before the parade, so that makes me happy!

Here is my grocery store picture......

I love watermelon!  My mom bought these really cool things.  They kinda look like a big passy's but instead of a nipple on the end, it's a net that you can put things in, like watermelon!  I love it.  I can munch on it and all the juices come out but no big chunks that I can choke on.  My mom took a couple pictures which I'll put up at the end of the post. I love watermelon!  Even though afterwards I'm kinda sticky.

It's been very rainy here the past couple of days.  We just had a really loud thunderstorm that I slept right through.  Thunder doesn't really bother me at all.  Which I hear is a good thing because Florida has lots of rain storms.

I am proud to announce that I can now sit up all by myself.  Not only do I balance really well (like I was doing at Gigi and Papa Jeff's house) but I can lie down on my back, flip to my tummy and get myself into a sitting position all alone!  With no help at all!  Can you believe it?!?!  I am also scooting along pretty good.  No crawling yet, but I do get to where I feel I need to go.

Tonight daddy is working late so mom and I are going it alone.  If it wasn't so rainy we would go on a walk.  Hopefully it clears up soon and I can take a ride in the stroller.  I think she might even let me sit up like a big boy and not in the baby chair!  We'll see...........

Here are those pictures I was telling you about with the watermelon.  Yummy!

This is a picture of me...right now, sitting in my highchair.  Boy oh boy did we have a rough morning.  I was super cranky!  It started off just fine.  I had breakfast a played for a bit and then I got sleepy.  So sleepy in fact that I was overtired and did nothing but cry for 3 hours.  Mom tried everything....like putting me in the swing, rocking me, giving me some milk, patting my back....nothing worked.  Finally I did fall asleep, but only for about an hour or so.

I know mommy has some errands to run this afternoon.  I plan on being a good boy...no fussy business!  I might even take a nap while we're out running around.

Oh, and my mom wanted me to say she hopes she's made it easier for people to comment on any of my blog posts and opened it up so you don't have to sign in or make an account.  Just be sure to sign your name!

Over the weekend we went to Chicago.  I got to go an an airplane again and see all my relatives up in the Windy City!  It was fun but super exhausting!  I had so much fun staying at Gigi's house.  In fact, I miss all the attention.

But now mommy and me have to go to the store.  We'll have to write more later.

We are in Chicago!  I got to go on an airplane and it was pretty cool.

You are probably wondering about the picture above....well, like my cousin Karen likes to say...."That's how I roll!"  I can cut past find pictures and put them in a blog WAY faster than my mom and I just wanted to show her how to do it ALL with the keyboard.

So, back to our trip.  Mom and Dad say I was a very good boy on the plane.  I had all the ladies oogling over me.  I made lots of friends.

Now we are in Chicago and visiting with a lot of people.  My Papa Jeff and Gigi Laura, my Aunt Judy-Lynn and Cousin Karen.  My Great-Grandma and Grandpa are on their way here too and later the crazy Braun's are coming.  It's going to be a very busy evening.

Oh,.......and GO BLACKHAWKS!

Not feeling so good today.  My morning went well but after my nap (which was a little long) I had a bit of a fever.  My mom called the doctor and we have to go see him in the morning.  I took some medicine and did feel a bit better, even enough to play for a while.  (See pictures below....I was sitting all by myself too!!)

After playing we had an early dinner and bath before hitting the hay.  I didn't go to bed easy though because, well, I'm really not feeling well again.  Mommy gave me more medicine before bed and my fever is really not too high, but I just am achy and can't get comfortable.  Mommy is getting a bottle all set and maybe some warm milk will do the trick.  I'll be sure and let you know how my doctor visit goes.

I have to be better soon!  I have a plane to catch on Thursday!!!!!

Our morning started out kinds slow.  I guess my mom and dad were really sleepy because the LOST series finale was on last night and they stayed up to watch Jimmy Kimmel live after it was over.  I don't get it, mainly because I wasn't alive for most of the series.  But they like it so....whatever floats your boat, right?

This afternoon I got to play outside!  Mommy brought my exersaucer out there while she and daddy did some yard work.  Daddy bought some very cool lookin' grass plants and they had to go in the ground before we go to Chicago this weekend.  It was very hot outside but I got to stay in the shade and supervise. Harry the Dog was lying down next to me.  That's the life!

For dinner we went out!  Well, I still ate Peas, Oatmeal and Bananas but Mom and Dad had some noodles and rice at some place that had the air conditioner on a little too strong!  It sure was chilly in there.  Then we went to Babies R Us where.....OF COURSE....I got some new stuff.  It's because I'm so cute and lovable.  They just can't resist getting me fun stuff!!

Now it's time for be because apparently they think I"m crabby.  To that I say....no way!  But I must admit, I do like laying in my bed looking at this cool projector my Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Gulbransen got for me.  It's really cool.  All these sea creatures light up on the ceiling and lullabies play quietly.  It's very relaxing and I love it.  In fact....I think it's about time to get in there and watch.  Good night everyone!

AH!  Relaxing!  I just got out of the bath tub.  I love bath time.  Mommy gave me some new toys today to play with in the tub.  I already had a duck and a crab.  But now I also have an octopus, a fish and a turtle.  I love watching them float around and I see how far they can float away before I can snatch them back up!

Yesterday Mom and I went to Cooper's birthday party.  We had a lot of fun.  There were lots of people there that thought I was cute and they all wanted to hold me.  I think it's cause I was the youngest person there.  Oh well, I like the attention.  My poor friend Cooper!  He wasn't feeling well and didn't even want to eat his cake.  His mommy (Miss Jacquee) took him to the doctor today and it turns out he has an ear infection.  I hope he feels better soon.  It sure was fun playing with all of his toys though...even his new squishy blocks!

Today Mommy and I were busy again!  Daddy stayed home to watch baseball while Mom and I went to see her friend Ashley and her son Gavin at Downtown Disney.  Gavin was born at the end of September and I was born at the beginning of December....so we are just 2 months apart!  But, I think we messed up Mommy and Ashley's plan today because when we got there I was sleeping and Gavin was awake and then Gavin fell asleep right when I was waking up.  What does that mean.....no pictures!!  Mommy and Ashley were sad but little do they know Gavin and I planned it that way....hee hee hee....ha ha ha!  We did make plans to go visit them in St. Augustine soon and hit the beach!  That will be super fun.

And last I just want to say....Daddy and I are very proud that Johnny Toews didn't touch the trophy!  Good job!  Go Blackhawks!!!!!!!!

Now I'm off to sleep so Mom and Dad can watch LOST.  Night!

(This is a picture of me being a clown.  I love to bang on the arm rest of the couch!)

Daddy is very proud of me because I'm sitting up by myself very well!!  I can't do it for a long time, but I'm getting stronger everyday.  :)  The pictures posted below are of me sitting with Daddy watching TV.  I love to have the remote.  Just wait till I'm in charge of the channels...mom and dad will be in big trouble then!

It seems I'm getting sleepy...so I should go take a nap now.  That way I'll be fully rested before going to the birthday party!

Had quite the afternoon.  Very nice and relaxing at first....but then overwhelming!  Mom wanted to go outside and water the flowers...so we did!  She even brought my exersaucer out there instead of making me sit in the bouncer seat.  I was loving it!  Very warm out, but I was in the shade and there was a warm breeze.

Then....the kids from next door came out to play and spotted us.  They sure LOVE me!  But it's a bit scary when all these noisy kids come over and start talking to me.  So I cried a bit.  But then after a little while, mom stood me up and I got show off my moves.  I think they're alright now!  They played with me while mom watered the flowers and trimmed the Hibiscus bushes.  Now she's making my supper and I'm relaxing in my swing.

Phew!  I need a bath!

Exersaucer!!

My blogging days might be limited.  I just spit up a bit on mommy's mouse pad.  I can't help it, but she told me...."That's it!  You're done!!"  And lucky for us, dad got it on video....hee hee!

This morning Daddy doesn't have to go to work till the afternoon so I got to cuddle in bed with  him!  Mommy never takes me in their bed.  Daddy's a sucker for my sweet face and cute ways ;)

After cuddling I decided it was breakfast time.  And boy did I let them hear about it.  Well, soon enough mom got me a nice big bowl of oatmeal and some pears on the side.  YUMMY!!  Although they were tasty and satisfying I needed a bit more and so....I got a bottle.  All this communicating made me sleepy though (not to mention the milk is warm!) and I zonked out for a quick nap.  Mom is now afraid I'll be messed up for the rest of the day with my sleeping schedule.  I keep telling her I won't be cranky, but she doesn't believe me.

Now I'm off to do some tummy time.  I can almost crawl and I love it!  Check out my pictures of me in my exersaucer this morning.  It's one of my favorite toys!

Good Morning!  Slept pretty well last night.  This morning I've been playing on the floor and I'm near exhaustion!  I have figured out how to flip from my back to my belly and vice versa.  It's a lot of work!!  But at least I'm learning how to move around.  Mom and Dad are in big trouble!  I'll be crawling before they know it!!

I think I'm about ready to take my morning snooze.  Below is a picture of me on the floor getting ready to blog to the world.

Good Afternoon!
Mommy and I just got home from an afternoon out.

Before I tell you about my day, let me say I took a wonderful nap this morning.  Mom is very happy.  This afternoon though.....not so much.  Mom thinks I'll be cranky now at dinner time....but I don't think so.  I'm not sleepy at all!

Well, like I was saying, this afternoon Mommy and I went out to lunch with Thad.  He is so silly.  And then we went to Publix and the Bank.  I wouldn't know too much about those two places cause I was sleeping.  Don't worry....I wasn't asleep long!

Now we're home and I'm going to go play with all my toys now.

Just got done with my bath...I'm smellin' good!  All in all a pretty nice bath.  I played with my duck and a crab.  My mom is super silly because she kept making a duck quack noise.  It was cracking me up!

Now I'm sitting here, relaxing in my cozy bath robe my Aunt Amanda gave me.  (See Pic Bellow)  Let me tell you....I'm cool!  Pretty soon I'll be hitting the hay. Until tomorrow.........

Had a super morning nap!  Mom gave me carrots for lunch (see picture below!) and they were pretty yummy!!  This afternoon I plan on spending some time scooting around the living room and my mom and I might take a walk to the mailbox!  It's really hot outside though so I don't think we'll be out there too long.

Just got finished with a morning full of activity!  Had some breakfast this morning in my new high chair...I'm such a big boy now!  I don't have to eat in that little bouncer seat anymore.  I had applesauce and rice cereal and a bottle to finish...YUM!

After a hearty breakfast my mom thought I would enjoy a little time in my exersaucer....and boy did I!  I really love hitting that alligator.  I also spent a little time in my bouncer seat reaching for the animals that hang down from the arch.  I'm now off to relax a little in my swing.  I think my mom is hoping I'll take a nap....but don't worry, I plan on fighting it!

I just woke up from my afternoon nap. My mom and dad are very proud of me for actually taking 2 naps today! I'm still kind of sleepy and now my daddy is going to take me away because I managed to spit up on my recently changed into outfit even though I have a passy in my mouth!

Hello to Everyone

Inspired by my friend Lindsey and my sister Amanda, I have decided to make a blog for Nicholas. At first I thought it was kind of a crazy idea. But after giving it a little thought, it's really a pretty good idea! Having so many of our friends and family live out of town, this really is a great way to keep everyone who is interested up to date on the happenings of Nicholas.

He loves sitting at the computer and banging on the keyboard, just like mom and dad do. This way I can update on here how he's growing, what he's doing and I don't have to subject the whole facebook community to it. In the longrun, this might even be a good developmental tool for him....being exposed to technology and one day, being able to do this himself!

So....here we go, the rambelings of a boogerhead!
