Our first entry of the New Year!  Can you believe it folks?  I'm just over a year old now.  It sure has been busy since the last time we updated and a lot has happened!  For starters....I can walk now.  I mean, all by my self.  In fact, it's my prefered method of transportation.  Who needs to sit in the shopping cart when you can walk?  Mommy let me do that one day a couple weeks ago.  We just needed to run into Publix for a couple of little things and didn't really need a cart.  So she put me down and let me walk through the store.  Of course, I had to hold her hand, but still, it was super fun!

Well, to backtrack a bit....after our Thanksgiving visit from Gigi and Papa Jeff, Mommy, Daddy, Harry and I drove all the way from Florida to Chicago to hang out there for a week!  It was a really fantastic trip!  Mommy said I have been in the snow before, when I was only a few months old...but I don't remember that.  Besides, I couldn't even crawl then, let alone walk!  This time when the snow was falling I was having a blast! It was a little cold but I barely noticed.  Here....take a look at this picture of me having fun out in front of Gigi's house:

While we were in Chicago we also had a big 1st birthday bash for me.  Tons of people came over and the best part.....CAKE!  I finally got to have my very own piece of cake.  Mommy and Daddy would sometimes give me small bites of their dessert, but this time I got my very own.  And then....when Mom wasn't looking, my Great Uncle Ron gave me a whole piece of apple pie! We did lots of things while we were in Chicago and saw lots of friends and family.  I can't wait to go back up for another visit!

On the way to Chicago and again on the way home I met my cousin's Jonathan and Mason.  They are older than me, but still super cool and boy did they have some great toys!!  We didn't have time to visit with Mommy's Cousins, so we have to plan a trip just to Atlanta some time.  Especially now that I'm walking....I can do a lot more!!

After we got back from Chicago it was time to get ready for another birthday party for me!  My real birthday was on December 10th...a whole week after we got back from Chicago.  Guess what....I got another cake on my real birthday!  My Grandma Mary Jean was able to come into town and celebrate with us for my birthday weekend.  We had some of Mommy and Daddy's friends over, Grandma Mary Jean, Aunt Amanda and my Great Grandma and Grandpa Gulbransen.  This time, I didn't just get a slice of cake all to myself....I got a whole entire cake!  It was called a Smash cake and that is totally what I did to it!  Smashed it up really really good.

And Christmas, well, that came a couple weeks after my birthday and this time both Grandma Mary Jean and Grandpa Dood came to stay at our house.  We didn't do a whole lot, but it was lots of fun just hanging out and playing with all my new birthday presents.  And wouldn't you know....just in time for Christmas I got my first two front teeth!  It really wasn't very fun getting my teeth.  In fact it hurt quite a bit.  I was kinda miserable for a few days and even had a fever.  But now, I'm feeling a lot better!

Today I went to the park with Mommy , Daddy and Harry the dog.  It was my first time at the park.  We didn't stay too long but I got to go down the big kids slide!!  At first I really liked it, but it was a little bit bigger than the baby slide I got for my birthday at home.  All in all, it was a successful first trip to the park.  Next time I'll have a better idea of what to do.

I think we are all caught up now.  Since the holidays are over and life seems kinda chilled out again, I will hopefully have more time (and remember) to blog more often.  Happy New Year!!!
